Duncan Jones to helm live-action WoW film

(1)

OK, maybe the long-in-development World of Warcraft film isn't the worst idea ever since the project just picked up Duncan Jones as its director. If that's an unfamiliar name, consider that Jones is the indie maestro behind thoughtful sci-fi fare like Moon and Source Code.

As Topless Robot notes, the fact that Jones' prior protagonists tended to die and respawn over and over again may make him uniquely qualified to helm a picture based on an MMORPG.

The WoW movie, which is being produced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros., was at one time rumored to feature Spider-man and Evil Dead auteur Sam Raimi in the director's chair. Jones, who is also the son of rock icon David Bowie, is now charged with the task of translating one of the world's most successful games to the big screen.  cheapest wow gold

This isn't the first time that Jones' name has been floated in connection with the WoW movie, either. Early in 2011, the director was quoted as saying that the production "could be the launch of computer games as good films."

The Scrying Pool: Mounts

After last week's outcry for mounts, The Scrying Pool looks at how they could be implemented in Guild Wars 2.

 (1)

One of the regions where players expect to eventually see mounts is the Crystal Desert. While this zone won't be completely sand filled, you could probably imagine it having large expanses of dunes and desert plains. This open area would be the perfect setting for a mount to run free.

Some of you may be thinking “why would I invest in a mount, maybe even pay for special gem shop mount skins, if we can only use them on certain maps?” Well, I wouldn't have the players actually owning the mounts.buy guild wars 2 gold

Having mounts in Guild Wars 2 in their traditional speed increasing forms would be a replacement for the current modes of transportation within a map: Way points. One of the things besides transportation that way points function as is a gold sink, a system set up with the purpose of removing gold from the game. If mounts are added in a buy once and forget it fashion, that continuous gold sink would be mostly removed in that area. So, to keep a gold sink active with this new transportation, I would have players rent the mounts instead of buy them.

In this system, players would find an illegible map has way points only near the portals that lead to the surrounding maps. These allow for quick travel out of the map and to the stables where mounts are rented. The rest of the map would not have a single way point, as travel would be done primarily through these rented mounts. As for the cost of the mounts, there are two ways it could be approached: have the mounts cost a large sum to account for any way point travel that would have originally happened under the way point only system or have the cost to rent a mount be low but add an attrition mechanic to them. buy or sell GW2 items

To give some quick and dirty examples for cost, with the high cost approach maybe you pay 10-12 silver and keep it while you are within the map. The problem with this is a player could rent a mount then receive an invitation to a dungeon, or dragon event, or some other group activity with friends. That player would then have to decide if he/she wants to go play with friends or not waste that just paid 10-12 silver, a decision that a player should never have to make. With the attrition method maybe the mount is only 1 silver to rent, but every 10 minutes the mount needs to eat some mount food that you pick up from the stable for like 30 copper each. With this players are not forced into remaining in a single map to make full use of the mount, but pay for the time they use.

The mount itself would then be part of the world, not something you magically pull out of your bag. When not mounted it would follow you much like horses in the Elder Scrolls game. The difference is I wouldn't make the mounts part of combat; they wouldn't fight your enemy and likewise would be immune to damage. It sucks finally buying your horse in Skyrim just to see it die to that stupid Frost Troll. Just to keep them out of the way, I would design it so that whenever the player enters combat the horse stops following. This way the player can move away from the horse so that it doesn't get in their line of sight and possibly making the combat harder. Players would also have the option to make the mount stop following, which would be useful when starting a jumping puzzle.

Assassination skills to crack

1, Invisibility. Invisibility finally want to address. The era before the assassination, stealth is not so hateful, but from the bullets out of stealth really good skills hateful, so this I also specifically issued a plus point of the Taoism posts order is breaking stealth. Tracking bombs, his stealth position immediately opposite the stealth put tracking bombs, can track stealth units, to determine the approximate location directly after Black Swan.

2, to kick off the Star. This skill should pay attention to fight strokes, because his skills to hit the people is invincible status and floating. Invincible is a relatively long time, so pay attention to their own Taoism puncture do not hit this skill. C9 gold

3, for the assassination of the hands. Plenty of people want to know what starting hands to play assassination. Generally divided into two categories. The first category, the assassination initiative to attack you, keep in mind that no matter how he jumping around, spotted his skills, if any skills close to your body, direct black swan dance. After how do we want to fast and quickly deflected perspective, hard straight even if he happens to be also the Invincible the skills spell out  directly double click, not recommended flat pick attack caught flat now very easy to pick attack, but If the distance away from you, with a flat pick attack.

Instantaneous step hands assassination. This need not go into detail, direct red escapement, the encounter will bend the assassination of escape, but keep in mind how to bend his final placement are toward you go, we must understand, if you turn fast enough perspective can still his hard straight! sell C9 Gold items COTN

Assassination skills is probably so few eating skills, others are even strokes used, not much to say. Dozen other professions are going to be chasing close fight to fight, and the only one assassination, remember do not rush silly, until he came, even if they have to take the initiative to attack, we must maintain a good distance! Remember, perspective must be referred to fast, self-defense skills black swan dance, no double-click, the energy of the storm with less closing strokes too slow, critical moment of unparalleled flurry can have unexpected results, because of the unparalleled flurry instant invincible tyrants body, short, fine! do not be attacked.

C9 Guardian PvP Skill Build

Hey Guys I just want to start my own official discussion for a Strictly PvP Guardian Skill Build!

What Is this?

After some 3 or 4 years of playing Guardian in PvP I have finally taken the time to make a skill build guide made STRICTLY for PvP. I hope this can help some players out who may be a little foggy on which skills are useful in PvP! In the video I talk about which skills NOT to get, as well as in depth reasoning for why I feel every skill I pick up is for either: Utility, Preference or Maxing!

Just remember: THIS BUILD IS STRICTLY FOR PVP

My name is Rick, or SirRick in game and I have been playing guardian for nearly as long as C9 has been out in Korea. In my time there I got a lot of experience under my belt and was able to get a pretty decently high rank in my time over there despite of course there being slight lag issues because of the distance. I had a lot of fun there and got a taste of the game that not many out there have. I made some great and lasting friends over there some of which have already started helping the community for a long time now: such as ArkAwe some!

Now that Global C9 has released I have taken to helping players out as best I can with my you tube Channel and PM's in-game and I hope that I can help the forum goers as well!ESPECIALLY with things regarding GUARDIAN in C9 PVP! PM Me in-game with your questions! I'll be glad to help!  sell C9 Gold items COTN

What Can You Do?

Please, I would Like to help out the community as much as possible. Please comment, like and rate on the video itself, but also make sure to reply here and in other places as well! Contact me on the channel or in-game, wherever, I'll be glad to help!

So with that being said Let's all talk Guardian PvP!

Skill Build in Word Form?

I worked hard on that video! Please check it out! But I do plan on doing this section for those who do not have the greatest internet connection or would rather like word form instead.

Like and Subscribe if the video really helps you!  cheap C9 gold

Korean Financial Site Predicts Guild Wars 2 Expansion In 2013

Is there a Guild Wars 2 expansion in the works? Probably.

When will it be out, though? That's anyone's guess — though some guesses have a bit more to go on than others.

The latest report from Korean securities firm KDB Daewoo has mostly good things to say about NCSoft, particularly regarding the launch of Guild Wars 2 and its first few months of operation. Specifically, Q4 2012 is cited as setting a record in operating profit for the company, with GW2 leading the way to the tune of 118 billion Korean won ($110 million USD). Combined with a 3Q OP of W46 billion ($43 million), that makes for a grand total of over $150 million.

Lineage II also gets some of the credit for NCSoft's strong fourth quarter, with Blade & Soul and Aion expected to "remain flat."(1)

As for the future, the report considers the overseas — i.e., North America and Europe — market to be the most lucrative in 2013, including this exciting tidbit:

In China, the company is planning to launch Blade & Soul (via a publishing agreement with Tencent) in 3Q13 and Guild Wars 2 in 4Q13 (via a publishing agreement with Kong Zhong). Furthermore, we expect NCsoft to release an expansion pack for Guild Wars 2 in Europe and the US in 2H13.

OK, but we all figure a GW2 expansion is planned at some point in the next year or so. So what gives this estimate any credence? For that answer, look back at the first few words of the report:

We recently visited NCsoft

Now, we don't think they walked in the doors of the NCSoft office and some executive said, "Hey, we're doing a Guild Wars 2 expansion in the second half of 2013." But they probably saw some projections and were able to piece together what they did see to come up with a reasonable explanation for whatever spike(s) they may have seen. And this is about as close to the source as you can get without visiting ArenaNet's offices.(2)

KDB Daewoo also predicted that a Guild Wars 2 launch date announcement was "imminent" about three weeks before the actual announcement was made, so they've got something of a track record.  dofus kamas

Then again, they also predicted Guild Wars 2 would launch before Thanksgiving. Technically correct, but about three months off. Close enough? We'll have to wait and see.
